From post to booking: a guest story on social, the enquiry it led to, and the five-star review that followed.

The client

The park is a highly rated riverside escape on the NSW North Coast, with cabins, caravan sites and camping. For years its guests were a loyal crowd of semi-retired and retired regulars, many of whom came back every winter.

As that crowd changed and travel habits shifted, the owners wanted to reach couples and a new wave of 50+ travellers, and stay front of mind all year — without paying for ads. So we started small: prove organic content works in the first six to eight weeks, then grow from there.

The challenge

A brilliant experience that not enough people could find. The website drew around 500 visitors a month, and bookings had levelled off.

The park’s Facebook, Instagram, Google profile and website hadn’t kept up. The Google profile didn’t mention the things travellers search for, like dog-friendly stays and nearby walks. Posts went up when someone had a spare minute, with no plan behind them and no way to tell which ones led to a booking. And reviews only came in when a guest thought to leave one.

What we did.

01

Audited every channel

We went through the park’s Facebook, Instagram, Google profile and website to see what was working and what was missing, then rewrote the Google profile around what guests search for.

02

Planned six weeks of stories

A calendar showing exactly what to post, when and why: a weekly “Why we come back” guest story, a local morning photo, a Sunday “next week at the park” reminder, and blogs that bring people to the site.

03

Closed the loop

Tracking, a simple dashboard and an automatic review request after every stay — so each post can be traced to an enquiry, and every happy guest is asked to say so on Google.

The six-week content plan, with each series mapped to the days that need bookings most.
The thank-you message every guest gets the morning after checkout, with a link to leave a Google review.

How it works.

One guest story, followed all the way to the next booking.

  1. 01Park

    Posts a guest story

A couple explains why they come back every winter, paired with a photo of their riverside spot. It goes out on Facebook and Instagram on Tuesday morning.

  2. 02Guest

    Saves and shares it

Real stories get saved and shared more than offers, so the post reaches people the park has never met — mostly couples and 50+ travellers.

  3. 03Guest

    Sends an enquiry

They get in touch about dates, and the enquiry is traced back to the post that brought them in.

  4. 04Park

    Asks for a review

The morning after checkout, every guest gets a thank-you by SMS and email with one link to leave a Google review.

  5. 05Report

    Shows what worked

The weekly dashboard ranks posts by reach, enquiries and reviews, so next week’s plan starts from what guests actually responded to.

What changed.

For guests

Couples and 50+ travellers now find the park through people like them — guests explaining, in their own words, why they keep coming back.

For the park team

A clear plan for every week, posts written and scheduled for them, and one dashboard showing which posts brought in enquiries. No guesswork and no extra admin.

For the business

Website visitors grew from about 500 to 3,000 a month, and bookings rose 21% — without a dollar spent on ads. Every new review keeps working long after the guest has gone home.

The results.

Under the hood.

Guest-story series
Reusable post templates — “Why we come back”, a local morning photo, “Next week at the park” — so each week is quick to make and easy to recognise.
Search-ready Google profile
New photos, copy and keywords for what travellers actually search for, from dog-friendly stays to nearby walks.
Automatic review requests
A thank-you by SMS and email the morning after checkout, with one link to Google. Guests with a concern can tell the park privately instead.
Tracking from day one
Meta tools and Google Analytics connected from the start, so reach, saves, shares and enquiries are all measured.
Weekly dashboard
Reach, engagement, enquiries and reviews in one place, with a check-in call each week to plan what’s next.
Planned around booking gaps
Quiet midweeks get their own posts, and park events — like live music by the firepit — are planned in weeks ahead.
